Here are the five rules

1. Test and balance the water chemistry regularly: It is important to test the water chemistry of your pool regularly to ensure that the pH, alkalinity, and chlorine levels are within the recommended range. This will help prevent the growth of harmful bacteria and algae, and keep the water clear and safe for swimming.

2. Clean the pool and skimmer baskets regularly: Leaves, debris, and other contaminants can accumulate in the pool and skimmer baskets, which can affect the water quality and circulation. Regular cleaning of the pool and skimmer baskets will help prevent clogs and ensure that the pool is functioning properly.

3. Maintain proper water level: The water level in your pool should be maintained at the recommended level to ensure proper circulation and prevent damage to the pool equipment. If the water level is too low, the pump may run dry and burn out, while if it is too high, it can cause damage to the pool cover and other equipment.

4. Install safety features: Pool safety is crucial, especially if you have children or pets. Installing safety features such as pool covers, fences, and alarms can help prevent accidents and ensure that your pool is safe for everyone to use.

5. Keep the pool area clean and free of hazards: In addition to maintaining the pool itself, it is important to keep the pool area clean and free of hazards such as toys, furniture, and other objects that can cause accidents. Regular cleaning and maintenance of the pool area will help prevent slips, falls, and other accidents.
